Mid 20th century ship's binnacle with gimbaled compass by Cassens & Plath, AE11143 (as inscribed on the ring), compass window measuring 8.25" diameter. Teak octagonal pedestal with brass brackets for large painted iron compensating spheres, 7" diam.; Plath-Geomar tube inclinometer mounted on front of pedestal (intact); and brass flinder's tube on rear (missing top). Brass helmet (missing view glass) with burner light. Height overall: 63" to top of burner. Max width: 30". Note on LL333 the view glass in the helmet is missing but could easily be replaced.
