This civil war era single draw brass telescope-spyglass is made entirely of brass with its original braided black horse hair wrapped main tube. It survives complete with it original objective lens dust cover with slide and eyepiece slide. Lovely original condition throughout, left in it's unpolished state and only minor loss to the horse hair wrap as one would expect from even normal use. This handsome scope measures 14 1/2 inches long closed and 24 ˝ inches long fully extended with a 1 1/4 inch objective lens. Sharp and clear optics. Unsigned, but most likely French or English made. Circa 1860-1880.
