Product Description

•••••
High quality hand-held, single draw long glass produced by an unknown maker, American or British, circa 1780-1830. Survives with focusing optics (slightly hazy) and in remarkably fine original condition.
Features a single brass draw with a mahogany main tube, turned out of one piece of mahogany, with brass ends and a 1 3/4 inch objective lens. The mahogany barrel retains its rich, original color and patina and survives free of nicks or cracks.
There are a few very minor surface dents in the objective tube and a small edge chip in the objective lens, but the chip does not affect the scope viewing at all. The view end glass cover is also missing.  Length closed: 18 1/2" Length extended: 34." This is an amazing item given its age being nearly two centuries old.
