Cast brass ship's bell from a Japanese ship called the "Tai-An-Maru". The engraved characters are dated 44.11.5. on the bell's shoulder which dates the bell to November 5, 1968. Also engraved F3614 with a makers mark next to it.
Replaced custom clapper -- this bell sounds great!! 12" diameter mouth opening. Comes with a custom made bulkhead mounting bracket and traditional 7.5" Turk's head bellrope. Weighs a hefty 29 pounds!
