Onion jugs (named after their shape) are thick walled jugs that were used to transport wine, olive oil and other liquids in the cargo holds of both sail and mechanically propelled freight carrying vessels. All are hand blown glass with hand-tied rope work netting and therefore differ from one another to some degree. They have the typical imperfections of hand workmanship which only add to their charm and authenticity. Measures approximately 12 inches in diameter and 13 inches tall to top of neck.
Available in shades of red, green and blue. We suggest that you call or e-mail us for available colors now in stock.
