Our Pricing Policy
The price shown is our best price available and is not negotiable. We do not pad our pricing to accommodate inevitable discounts nor do we use a "Buyer's Premium." We cannot offer additional "discounts" to the trade or accept lower offers. Disounted or items "On Sale" will be marked as such and offered at the adjusted price. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Virginia residents only, please add 5% sales tax.
Payment
Payment may be made in the form of a personal check, money order, or Visa and Mastercard through our website's secure ordering system. Should you prefer to pay by check or provide your credit card via phone, please contact us between 10am-6pm daily Eastern Standard Time at (757)399-5012. Check and money orders may be made out to Skipjack Nautical Wares and mailed to One High Street, Suite 3; Portsmouth, Virginia, 23704. Available items will be placed on hold for 7 working days pending receipt of PAYMENT IN FULL. If payment is not received within 7 days, then the item will be returned to stock and made available again to interested buyers. All items are sold on a first come first served basis. Items marked are actually SOLD and are no longer available. Certain works of art by our artists may be custom reproduced for you as close to the original as possible or recreated to your specifications. Pricing may vary depending on the magnitude of the customization.
Privacy and Security
We value internet security and privacy as much as anyone. All payment transactions on our website are through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Rest assured, Skipjack Nautical Wares will never sell or trade its customer list. Occasionally we will send a mailing to our customers advising of special events or sales. If you do not wish to be on our mailing list, please email us at the address at the bottom of this page and we will be happy to remove you.
Shipping & Packaging
Your name, street address (NOT P.O. Box) and telephone number are required for shipping. For most of our inventory, we ship using UPS Ground which provides reliable service and tracking for all shipments or USPS Priority Mail for smaller items. Most items weighing under 20 lbs. we will package for FREE. For packaging of delicate, extremely valuable and larger store items, we recommend the experts at our local UPS Store®. The UPS Store offers a full range of shipping services through UPS, including packaging and freight. They offer a wide variety of delivery options from overnight to ground delivery. No job is too big or small. We'll Contact our local UPS representative for pick-up, package and shipping pricing and/or scheduling. You don't have to worry about a thing with The UPS Store shipping guarantee. If an item packed by their associates and shipped via UPS is damaged or lost, you will be reimbursed for the item's value (subject to lesser of actual value, replacement, or repair cost), the full retail price or packaging materials and services, plus shipping charges (excluding declared value charges). Returns
OUR UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE: We stand behind our products and spend considerable time accurately describing and photographing each item. If not completely satisfied with your purchase it may be returned, if without damage, within 14 days of receipt in it’s original “sold” condition and packaging. Returns must be insured for the total purchased price. All that we require is an email from the purchaser with their intent to return and authorization via email by us. Unfortunately, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless we are at fault.
