My journey as a model shipcrafter began fortuitously at a retail outlet for a company that imported ship model kits as there were few domestic kits available. There I met a man holding a Q and A forum for ship modelers of all abilities. That man was Frank Mastini. He was a man of decades of experience and the passion to pass on his skill and knowledge to any aspiring builder. After some conversation I found that he lived a short distance from my home in downstate New York. He invited me to visit and we struck up a long and satisfying friendship that started me on the enjoyable hobby of shipcrafting. After several years under Frank's tutelage, I was fortunate to find buyers for my constructions and have built and sold numerous examples.

I have since relocated to the Hampton Roads area and have continued to build and refine my skills as a shipcrafter.
