Sandra Lee Snider became interested in art and photography while growing up in the little town of Lawn, near Hershey, Pennsylvania.
In high school, she pursued her love of art by working as a scene painter for a theater,
painting murals and designing promotional materials. She attended York Academy of Arts to study design and photography and won first place in special effects photography in her senior student exhibition.
For over twenty years, Sandi worked as a senior art director at a number of major Philadelphia-based advertising agencies, leaving her little time to pursue her passion for taking pictures, yet her interest in photography never waned.
She is presently the creative director at Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Virginia where she also a contributing staff photographer.
Sandi Lee’s love of fishing and boating became a perfect inspiration for rekindling her passion to capture that “moment in time” that photography provides. Her knowledge of graphic design and digital technology provided the ideal opportunity to make that transition a reality.
Sandi Lee lives with her husband Tom on a farm in Creeds, Virginia. Together they spend many hours exploring and capturing the natural beauty of the woods and waters in the Back Bay and Currituck Sound area near Virginia Beach, a place she calls “ heaven on earth”.
