Product Description

•••••

A fine WWII era ships bridge engine order telegraph (E.O.T.). Features face plates of red glass with commands in black. This classic standing pilot house E.O.T. is constructed of heavy solid brass and was used on a twin propeller ship. The faceplates include commands on both sides: AHEAD- speeds are 1/3, 2/3, STAND, FULL, FLANK.- The BACK- speeds are 1/3, 2/3, FULL, LOCK SHAFT, EMERG. and STOP in center as marked with brass arrow that moves with the trigger style indicator handles." The indicator handles lock into notched grooves above the commands in the top of the outer rings. Brass electronic side bell and light rheostat originally mounted on to the heavy cast bronze pedestal is missing. Also, the manufacturers nameplate was removed some time during it's history, so we are not sure of the maker. Recently polished and waxed for a soft brass patina. Weighs approx. 115 pounds. A great old surviving instrument used aboard a naval vessel during WWII.
