The largest ship's wheel that we have had offered for sale to date. An authentic mid-19th century teak 10-spoke ship's wheel probably from an old American clipper ship from the days of tall ships that sailed the seven seas! This handsome helm's wheel stands out with its brass rim plate, brass hub cover and brass-covered king spoke handle and thick baluster turned spokes. The reverse side of the solid iron hub with old painted green surface. Retains an old, undisturbed marine varnish finish. This exceptional wheel measures 66 inches from spoke to spoke. Weighs a hefty 120 pounds!
This ship's wheel could be re-purposed into an exquisite coffee or dining room table!
