USS Sequoia Presidential Yacht Barometer is made of forged solid brass with nickel plated yacht wheel case. Deeply etched hand silvered dial. Double bellows holosteric movement, thermometer tube. Made in Chelsea, MA. The clock series was limited to 750 pieces. The matching barometer was a special order item and was made in extremely low numbers. Perhaps less than 10 exist. This example is in mint condition and ready for your home or yacht.

History: The USS Sequoia President Yacht started life in 1925 at the hands of John Trumpy. Since then she has served more than nine US Presidents and countless distinguished visitors. Congress designated the Sequoia a National Historic Landmark and is one of most important pieces of Americana in private hands and is one of the most famous vessels in America. In 1994 Chelsea Clock Company was commissioned to make a commemorative clock and matching barometer to celebrate the USS Sequoia.
