Circa 1906. 4.5" dial Chelsea Ship's Bell clock serial number 20336 on movement and case dates the clock to 1906. The hand-carved mahogany surround is of the finest quality and the hand of a master wood carver. The clock dial is signed RIGGS & BROS., PHILADA. Riggs Brothers was a large purveyor of scientific and marine instruments established in the 19th Century in Philadelphia. Fine original untouched condition including the original darkened varnished finish. A truly unique object for the mariner.
