Light, strong and durable, this brass Open Dial Barometer/Thermometer is a two-in-one instrument that conveniently combines barometric pressure and temperature gauges in one location. The barometer at the top of the dial is an holosteric or aneroid type which measures atmospheric pressures mechanically without the use of liquids. The movement is temperature compensated, fully adjustable with inch and millibar scales and is calibrated for altitudes to 3,500 feet above sea level. The thermometer in the lower portion of the dial displays both F and C scales. This barometer features a traditional beveled glass crystal porthole front bezel opening, and the weather resistant casing is finished with an ultra-hard protective coating, guaranteed not to tarnish or scratch. Dimensions: Dial: 5" (127 mm) Overall Diameter: 7 1⁄4" (191 mm) Depth: 2 1⁄2" (64 mm) Weight: 2 lbs.
Also available with a mahogany wood base to attractively display your barometer on your mantle, desk, or bookshelf (sold separately -- see below.)
