Large, early 20th century Perko stern light that we have re-purposed into a nautical table lamp .Features a black-painted galvanized body with brass chimney caps and Christmas tree vents The thick, clear glass (white light) Fresnel lens survives free of cracks and only a few minor rim chips as expected from years of sea use. The Perko brass label is located on the front of the lantern and states "PERKO TRADE MARK- MANUFACTURERS- PERKINS MARINE LAMP AND HARDWARE, CORP.BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, U.S.A. The glass is a Fresnel lens similar to the type used in lighthouses worldwide. This lens amplifies the light from the bulb so that the light appears much brighter than its actual source. The lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light or both as desired. The interior bulb is reached through the open bottom of the fixture. Measures 10 inches wide, 9 1/2 inches deep and 30 1/2 inches to the top of the shade.
Shown here with our 18 Inch burlap covered lamp shade. Lamp shade sold separately. (see related items below).
