Authentic, all copper Dutch starboard ship's navigation light. The brass tag on the front is embossed with the word "STYBORD" and below a second tag with the letter G (with triple crowns) and the lanterns number 28736. This number is also etched on both the top and bottom Fresnel lens. The light measures 21 inches tall exclusive of the mounted brass bail handle on top. The convexed front measures17 inches in diameter width. The double glass fresnel globes survive very good condition. The fixtures interior is designed with upper and lower electric lights and removable dark-blue lens for either starboard or white light use. The copper housing has a few dents on the back edge of the top and the hinged back door is missing the bottom slide latch, but the top slide latch works and keeps the door closed when locked. The interior fixtures and wiring are all original to the light. We recommend to update before use. This is a very collectable hard to find light. Weighs just shy of 23 pounds!
