Early 20th century small craft anchor lantern made of galvanized steel with brass chimney cap. Embossed on the oval brass tag: "TRIPLEX TRADE MARK, LENSE PAT'D DEC.20 1910, OTHERS PAT.D PENDING". A great old light measuring 11 1/2" tall exclusive of the bail handle and 5 1/2" in diameter. This fine early lantern survives completely intact and retains a mellow, darkened metal patina. The original brass snap-in style burner also survives intact and appears to be in good working order and is reached through the hinged bottom with snap closure. The "TRIPLEX" type Fresnel lens is flawless and the lantern itself survives in excellent structural. A 5 star example!
