A rare surviving pair of early 20th century port and starboard running lights manufactured for the A. S. Morss Co., Boston Mass. Triangular form lights with brass chimneys and ring handle. Maker's plate located on the front is embossed "A. S. MORSS CO., MARINE HARDWARE AND SPECIALTIES, BOSTON, MASS.", Comprising a red/ruby unpatterned lens example and a green unpatterned lens with vertical wire guards. 12" HOA, 10" H to top of cap, 5 1/2" WOA.
CONDITION: Worn body with body denting and brass caps with minor cracks. Lenses survive undamaged and without surface scratches. The Morss label is present only on the starboard light. Removable font with spring mechanism to underside have been converted to electricity and comes with a flip switch on the lamp cord.
