Mid 20th century folk-carved wood, leather and brass fireplace bellows with the front carved with a whale, harpoon and in raised letters "MOBY DICK" "1840-1859." Handcrafted by an unknown American artist. A brass screw was added to keep the bellows shut for display, but are still functional with screw removed as fireplace bellows. Great piece of maritime decorative arts for your Nantucket cottage and seaside home. Measures 18 inches long.
