Shipping & Packaging
Orders are generally shipped within 48 hours after your order is processed (very often the same day) and they normally take an additional 3 - 5 business days to arrive. Orders are processed Monday-Saturday during normal business hours.
Your name, street address, and telephone number are required for shipping. For most of our inventory, we ship using USPS Priority Mail or UPS which provides reliable service and tracking for all shipments. Items shipped in-house (USPS or UPS) are packaged for FREE.
For items too large in size or too great in weight, we use IPAC (International Packing & Crating) in Chesapeake, Virginia. IPAC has expertise in packing and knowledge and partnerships in the transportation industry, making them a great partner with Skipjack Nautical Wares for getting anything fragile, large, awkward, or valuable to and from consumers and businesses worldwide.

As of October 2016, we no longer offer international shipping through our webstore. If you are living outside the United States and wish to purchase something from our inventory, you may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide a shipping quote for you. We will only ship internationally using UPS. While more expensive, it is reliable and tracked throughout shipment to delivery.
OUR UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE: We stand behind our products and spend considerable time accurately describing and photographing each item. If not completely satisfied with your purchase it may be returned, if without damage, within 14 days of receipt in its original "as sold" condition and in its original packaging. Returns must be insured for the total purchased price. Email us with your intent to return and we will send return authorization via email. Unfortunately, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless we are at fault. Custom orders (for example, location-specific lampshades) or non-stock colors or sizes (for example, belts under 32" or over 48") are NOT eligible for return or exchange.

Did you order the wrong size or color? (Exchanges)
Hey, it happens to everyone at some point. Skipjack is happy to exchange your new, unworn purchase for a different size or color. Please do so within 30 days of the original order. Just follow these simple steps:
Mail back your purchase by whatever means convenient along with a note indicating what you would like in exchange. Include the original packaging for the item.
Enclose payment for shipping of the new item: a check for $7.50 payable to "Skipjack."

As soon as we receive your package, we will send out the replcaement item. In a hurry? In that case, the most expedient action is to order the new item through our website and return the wrong item for refund . . . no waiting for us to receive the returned item before the new one gets shipped!
Long-term Storage Charges
Items left beyond an agreed period of time (layaways or purchases held for pick-up) will accrue a storage charge of 2% of the purchase price per week. After 50 weeks, the item and purchase price are forfeit.
