A fine WWII era ship’s anchor lantern that we have re-purposed into a nautical table lamp. This antique brass lantern was produced by "J.C. NEWEY, BIRMINGHSM, ANCHOR PATT. 5902" as enscribed on the lanterns makers plates. The original thick, clear glass 360 degree Fresnel lens survives in good condition, free of chips or cracks and is etched on one side "A.P.199B" and the production date "1-3-1945."
The lamp now features a new three-way switch that toggles between the upper table lamp light and the lower interior lantern light. Use with a light dimmer for ambient lighting control. The lamp stands 30 inches tall to the top of the lamp shade (as shown), and the base measures 8 inches in diameter. A wonderful nautical table lamp that will add authenticity to your nautical interior.
This authentic brass marine lantern survives in good condition with a few minor body dents and retaining a soft aged brass patina. The bottom swing handle is missing as well as a few lens guards. Open at bottom to access to the lamp interior. Shown with our ex-large off-white linen lamp shade.
The price is for the lamp only. See our lampshade and finial categories for selection.
