Authentic, American manufactured early 20th century galvanized metal anchor lantern manufactured by PERKINS/PERKO that we've re-purposed into functional table lamp. The oval brass manufacturers makers plate is located on the front states: "PERKINS LAMP AND HARDWARE CO., BROOKLYN, NY" and "PERKO" in the center. A wonderful old American-made seafaring marine anchor lantern that survives with lots of nautical appeal. Thick glass Fresnel lens intensifies the distance of the light similar to a lighthouse lens. Originally a kerosene burning lantern, this old fixture had been long ago updated to electric. We've modified it even more, replaced all of the old fixture and wiring and re-purposed it into a nautical table lamp. Retains an old charcoal black and/pewter grey surface. Survives in remarkably good condition and the Fresnel lens is free of chips or cracks! The lantern is open at the bottom to access the lamp interior.
The lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light or both as desired.
Measures 24 1/2 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown) and 7 1/2 inches in diameter. A great old nautical fixture with lots of maritime charm, re-purposed for today’s nautical home.
Lamp shades and decorative nautical lamp finials are sold separately. See our current selection in our related itemds below. Shown here with an 18 inch black parchment lamp shade.
