An early 20th century ships weighted and gimbaled cabin oil lantern composed of brass lantern fitted into a black-painted metal lamp basket. Coronet style burner canister is removable from the lantern’s bulkhead-mounted fixture. Measures 14 inches tall including the glass chimney and protrudes around 8 inches from the bulkhead. Burner manufactured by P & A Mfg. Co., Walterbury Conn. as embossed on the adjustment handle. Missing wick. (Plume and Atwood Manufacturing company).
