The Columbia was a Kirby designed glass palace excursion steamer built in 1898. She was a regular fixture on the Detroit River for decades, carrying thousands of passengers between the City and the Bob-lo Island amusement park. Redesigned a number of times and still afloat today, she has been recently moved from the Great Lakes area; after numerous unsuccessful attempts to restore her.
