An exceptional pair of brass Triplex port and starboard running lights, manufactured in the early part of the 20th century. Features the famous Triplex bubble style Fresnel lens that survive in good original condition in ruby red and royal blue glass. Both lights also have the brass maker’s tag on the front states, “TRADE – TRIPLEX – MARK, LENSE PATD.. DEC. 20 1910, OTHER PATS PEN”. On the back is engraved "M'F'R'D' NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO., NEW YORK". The lights have hinged bottoms with snap closures that open to the interior and retains the original burners, all in like new condition. Stands 10" tall exclusive of the bail handle. Retains a nice old and mellow brass patina.
