Authentic, high quality late 19th-early 20th century oil-fired lantern by an unknown maker. Features a windowed door with sliding locking pin which hinges open to access the font with burner. The lamp top is made of cast brass with a coated outer surface and an adjustable domed chimney. The burner we believe is an old replacement. As shown, the lamp stands 9 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches in diameter and measures 6 1/4 inches from its bottom to the flange. This lamp survives in good original condition.
