Early 20th-century galvanized metal anchor lantern that we have repurposed into a nautical table lamp. This handsome American-made anchor lantern is constructed of galvanized metal with brass chimney caps and comes with the original thick, ribbed clear glass, 360-degree Fresnel lens. The lantern retains a wonderful old sea-weathered pewter and brass patina. A wonderful lighting choice for your coastal home and nautical room!
The table lamp comes with all-new electrical parts and wiring. The surface has been meticulously cleaned and hand-waxed to enhance the lantern's appearance and protect the aged patina surface. Lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light, or both as desired. The interior bulb is reached through the open bottom. Measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and stands 21 inches tall to the top of the lamp shade (as shown). Weighs 3 3/4 pounds.
CONDITION: The lantern is in overall good condition. One of the wire guards on the back was removed and electrical wire entered through a hole in the upper lantern shoulder, that is now capped. The glass Fresnel lend survives without cracks or chips. Missing original burner. The makers tag is missing, but was most likely made by Perkins Marine Lighting of New York.
