This handcrafted old wood canteen/flask was probably made during the mid to late 19th century. Features folk-carved repeating designs circling the perimeter of the flask, and is held together with four bands of copper wire. Original carved wood stopper. Origin is unknown. The flask measures 7" in height with the widest length (across the middle) being 4 1/2". Survives with a dark brown patina and old varnished surface.
