An authentic, hard-to-source, large Maine cedar wood lobster trap buoy marker that we have converted into a coastal-designed nautical table lamp. Retains the original, old, orange surface paint over an older white paint, with areas where the cedar wood is visible. Shrinkage crack on one side of the buoy, and expected surface wear from heavy lobstering use. The number "6191" is engraved onto the bottom of the buoy. Stands 24 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown), 6 inch sides.
This lobster trap buoy marker was purchased as part of a collection, from a retired lobstermen (F.E.Young) who fished out of Spruce Head, South Thomaston, Maine. These are authentic, old, seaworn lobster buoys, retaining a wonderful, aged painted surface, now repurposed as a nautical/coastal table lamp, perfect for your living room and bedrooms, Maine camp and traditional New England coastal home.
