Brass bow light made by Robert Findlay, Brooklyn, NY. Late 19th/early 20th century.
Description: D-shape form with hooped bail handle, hinged door with maker's plate marked "ROBERT FINDLAY MFG. CO INC. / LIGHTING FIXTURES & MARINE LAMPS", and top, front of fixture with plate marked "BOW LIGHT", clear Fresnel lens, interior with a slide-out tray fitted with a Simplex wick burner. 14" HOA, 10" H to top of chimney cap, 5 3/4" W. Very good condition, some minor repairs and surface dents, lens with several flakes and the slide latch to the back door is missing. Burner undamaged. Retains a darkened old varnished finish, with bronzed patina.
