19th century or possibly earlier rum or water dipper made with a half of a coconut shell with hand-forged wrought iron handle. Most likely sailor made and used shipboard. The half coconut shell cup survives with a little peeling on the inside of the bowl membrane. Hanging hook on end of handle. Measures 12 inches in length and 5 inch diameter coconut bowl.
