Product Description

•••••

Pair of brass Port & Starboard hoop handled navigational lights manufactured by the Universal Spinning & Stamping Co. New York. N. Y., as stamped on the back door of each lantern. Made in the 1st quarter of the 20th century, these lights feature thick glass Fresnel lens in ruby red and royal blue. Both lights are engraved on the top with either Port or starboard and Classes II & III. Wonderful old American made lights that retain a wonderful old bronzed patina. As most early maritime lanterns, these have a few flaws. The port lens has a surface crack in it and some frosting from sea spray, but is all intact and the starboard lens is in excellent shape in comparison. Missing interior burners. Measures 10 inches tall to the top of the chimney and 14 1/2 inches tall to the top of the hoop handle. Price is for the pair.
