Matched Pair of Early 20th Century Brass Gimballed Lamps

Rare, matched pair of early 20th century brass gimballed cabin lamps. A wonderful nautical brass gimbal lamp with a the base supporting an articulated arm & counterweight, designed for use as both a table lamp as well as wall mounted lights. The base has wall or table key hole type fixing. Swing weight and bar unscrews from pivot part, pivot nuts unscrew to help with cleaning. Converted years ago to electricity, but the electrical fixtures and lamp cords are contemporary. Measures 17 1/2 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown). base: 5 inches in diameter.
