Matching Pair of Brass Cabin Lanterns, National Marine Lamp, Co

A rare matching pair of early 20th-century American-made brass ship's or yacht's cabin lanterns. Both lanterns are engraved "M'F'R D By National Marine Lamp Co., New York." Each lamps contain three thick glass panels, each protected by vertical and horizontal wire guards. Both lamps are complete with their electrified fonts with authentic burners and glass chimneys. We've replaced the old lamp cords with new. The front doors feature sliding pin lock closures, hinged on the right and opening on the left. Each lamp has a folding brass wire bail handle on top. The lantern stands 17 ½ inches tall (exclusive of the handle), 7 inches deep by 11 inches wide (including wire guards). Each lamp is equipped with a riveted mounting bracket on the back. Weighs 8 1/2 pounds. *The majority of this style of cabin lanterns were produced in the UK or of European heritage. Hard to find examples like these that were manufactured in the U.S..
