Circa 1940. This liquid filled gimbaled compass was made by the Marine Compass Company, with the Dial on the Compass is stamped "M.C.Co." Viewing glass measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.The mahogany compass box measures 4 5/8 inches x 4 5/8 inches x 2 1/2 inches. Missing lid. Lightly Used but in good Working Condition.

The Marine Compass Company(M.C. Co.) a firm that was established in Hanover, Massachusetts, in 1910. The owners of this firm purchased E. S. Ritchie & Son in 1951.
