Galvanized stern lantern table lamp, 18" tall to top of shade (shade not included)

A late 19th/ early 20th century eight spoke ship's wheel made from either teak or mahogany, probably used on board an old work boat. Wood sections are screwed to the felloe on both sides.  Heavy steel plates cover the center wood hub. Retains an old dark red painted surface over most of the wheel spoke and inner wheel. There are shrinkage cracks around the felloe screws and a repaired spoke as well. Measures 32 inches from tip to tip.  Nice old wheel with lot's of character from decades of use on the open seas! Perfect for interior wall display.
