A matching pair of copper port and starboard boat/yacht navigation
lights, manufactured by Tung Woo of Hong Kong. Each
light is tagged "TUNG WOO, HONG KONG, TRADE MARK," with the
flying Pegasus in the center. The port light is numbered "NO.K1987"
with an applied brass ribbon stating "PORT." The second
light is numbered "NO.B1904" and "STARBOARD,"
again on a brass ribbon. Both lights house a
removable colored lens, red for port and blue for starboard. These
can be taken out for easy lens cleaning or to use as white
lights. Each lamp features a thick, clear glass Fresnel lens, and
reside in excellent condition. The upper light housing is hinged, and
lock down with a brass thumb screw, and opens to access the interior
and the removable electric sockets. The lights also come with their
original convex reflecting mirrors. The lamp chimney with a hinged
cap and a swinging bail handle. Riveted copper construction. Cast
brass back bulkhead mounting brackets, each with a "T" type
bolt for locking down.
Measures
13 inches tall, exclusive of the bail handles, and six inch sides.
Retains a pleasing weathered copper patina.
