Ship Clinometer removed from the heavy cruiser USS Albany (CA-123). The manufacturers plate in the center states: SHIP CLINOMETER TYPE II- HEEL SHIP PARTS CONTROL CENTER. Contract No. N104-84556- YEAR 1962. MARINE INSTRUMENT CO. This navigational device was used to measure the ship’s heel. Top clinometer reads from 0 to 20 degrees. Lower clinometer reads from 0 to 60 degrees. Glass tubes mounted on to a black bakelite plaque. Some old paint stains on the edge. Measure 10 X 17 inches with three mounting holes, two in the top corners and one in the bottom center.

USS Albany (CA-123) was a United States Navy Oregon City-class heavy cruiser, later converted to the guided missile cruiser CG-10. The converted cruiser was the lead ship of the new Albany guided missile cruiser class. She was the fourth ship to carry the name Albany.
