An early 1900’s sterling silver boatswain’s pipe.  The pipe's shank is impressed "STERLING" on the side. The bowl was slightky flattened by the sailor who used it for pitch. It measures 5 1/2 inches in length and is in perfect condition and produces a loud, shrill harmonic.
