"The Bluejackets Manual," 1944 (12th Edition). Navy bluecloth boards are slightly worn but in good condition. Inside is clean and without notes or underlining other than owner's information inside front cover. Completely intact including Index, frontispiece, illustrations and color plates of flags. This edition was changed both in content and order of presentation from previous volumes. This is the basic handbook for United States Navy personnel, first issued in 1902 to teach new recruits about naval procedures and life and offer a reference for active sailors. It has become the "bible" for Navy personnel, providing information about a wide range of navy topics. While new editions are still in print, this 12th edition, produced during wartime, greatly expands on previous editions.
