Vintage yacht binnacle with liquid filled compass, copper housing

Yacht binnacle with liquid-filled compass; copper housing with carrying handle. From the yacht "Lazy G" owned by R.E. Greene. Engraved 47716 on the brass rim of the compass and 18095 on the compass gimbal ring, but there is no indication of the manufacturer of the compass or the binnacle. The top and front window panels are removable creating access to the interior by removing a few brass screws along the edge of the plates. Measures 6 3/4 inches wide X 7 inches deep and 9 1/2 inches tall including handle. Weighs 10 pounds, six ounces.
