Slant Front boat binnacle compass by Wilcox Crittenden, Middletown, Connecticut. The Mahogany hinged slant-front case with a 2 3/4in. glazed viewing window houses a brass wet card compass in gimbal with cardinal points in block lettering, fleur-de-lis at North with WC insignia. The compass is fitted into a removable ship-lapped constructed box. Side hole on right for a snap-in electric light., Height (back) 7 in. All original including the heavy gatored varnish finish.
