A WW II Era British Made Ship's Cabin Light- Repurposed Nautical Table Lamp

A high quality, British made, WWII era ships cabin lantern that was repurposed years ago into a functioning nautical table lamp. Retains the original adjustable wick oil burner mechanism (probably Bulpitt). Primarily made out of steel with brass hardware and copper fastening rivet construction, the Back has a cast brass wall mounting bracket and a hinged top above for opening. The lantern is also designed with a right-hinged door for removal of the burner. A keyhole located on the right side opens with a sliding cover for interior burner adjustment. Also retains the old worn red-painted exterior surface. The front and side window panes are removable for easy cleaning (or replacement if cracked). Displays beautifully. The housing has a somel surface blemishes  from actual marine use. Missing the upper swing handle.

The lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light or both as desired. The lamp measures 8 1/2 inches wide, 6 inches deep and stands 28 inches tall to the top of the shade. (as shown). Weighs 12 pounds!
