An American Mid 19th Century Painted Mason's Tin Lantern With Fluid Lamp

Mid-19th-century primitive tin and glass fluid lantern, American, embossed MASON'S on the front lantern shoulder. Lantern is complete with an original black painted surface, a wooden swing bail handle attached to the top of the arched lamp chimney, glass window pane sides, a slide latching door, and a pair of hanger loop brackets on top backside of lantern. Interior with glass and brass oil fluid lamp (marked BANNER, PA MFG. CO., MADE IN USA on adjustment ring. Fitted base ring to hold lamp securely, back wall reflecting convex mirror. Missing small glass chimney. Measures: 14 1/2 inches in height, exclusive of bail handle, 6 1/4 inch sides.   Weighs 4 pounds.
