Circa 1970 brass and copper search light made by the Shonan Kosakusho Co. Ltd., Japan, a company that manufactured exceptional quality search and signal lights for the world's navies until the late 1960's. The copper manufacturer's label mounted on to the side states: "30 CM SEARCH LIGHT. MODEL ST-30, VOLT 115, WATT 1000, SER. NO. 18513 WGT: 31 KG. MANU DATE: NOV 1971. SHONAN KOSAKUSHO CO. LTD. TOKYO JAPAN" Features a 12 inch glass lens and the original convex mirror inside. The search light is mounted on to heavy brass arms and is adjustable with a clock-down handle. Retains a nice old brass and copper patina, but you could have it polished and lacquered to a brilliant finish if desired. This search light will need re-wiring to work and the front glass plate is loose. Weighs a hefty 68 pounds!
