WWII Mahogany Chronometer Transport Box

Authentic mahogany WWII chronometer transport box. Features a brass lever latch on the front, and the interior retains its original padded billiard green felt lining. Brass hinges on the back hold the box top. A leather belt strap that wraps over the top is designed for transporting the box. The exterior of the box measures 9 1/2 inches square and 9 ½ inches. The interior is designed to house an 8 x 8-inch square chronometer. The shaped oval mahogany base measures 12 inches wide and 10 inches front to back. there is remnants of a paper label inside the box lid, but it is not legible.

This chronometer transport box is similar in design and size to a Hamilton Model 21 and fits it perfectly.
