This 1950's era, Corsair-W, E537-000 ship's bell clock is in full functioning condition. The movement is a German-made, 7-jewel "A-207" movement; there are two distinct springs/winding ports for the clock (left) and chime (right). The leftmost lever toggles the chime on/off (a "Ship's Bell" movement: one bell per 30m past 12, 4 and 8), while the right most lever fine-tunes the running speed. The clock is set by turning the minute-hand itself. The glass cover is bezel type to access the face. Cosmetically, this clock is in overall excellent condition. Some slight surface tarnish on the top of the clock. Comes with a winding key.

A commemorative engraved brass plate located on the front of the wood base states "USS CURRIER, DE 700,
AUG. 1953 - MARCH 1955." This was presented to LCDR James Davis Oliver, Jr., USN, the ship's Commander for his service.
