An antique Victorian period, probably British-made, single-draw naval officers' pocket-sized spyglass. Composed of all-brass construction with a choice mahogany main tube, this maritime instrument survives in near-mint condition. The telescope optics are perfect, producing a clear, magnified image.  Measures 5 1/4 inches closed, extending to 8 1/4 inches with a 1 1/2 inch objective lens. The original brass objective-end protective cover survives along with the spyglass. A rare-sized optical instrument with clear, focusing optics!
