Wolseley Mark III trench flare gun, Wolseley, England, Model 1918, Serial Number 12998. WW I caliber single shot flare gun made for the New Zealand army. Markings: Wolseley 1918, armory markings, New Zealand property stamps N^Z. barrel Length: 5 3/4 inches. Wood stock. Brass flare gun with a tilt-down, break open loading mechanism and a single action lockwork. The overall condition is very good. The brass has a nice aged patina. The markings are clear. The grips are in good condition. The bore is smooth.
