Handcrafted Ship-in-a-Bottle Depicting a 3-Masted Barkentine in Full Sail

Extra nice handcrafted ship-in-a-bottle depicting a 3-masted Barkentine in full sail and flying a South American flag (green< white and yellow stripe) from its after mast. This beautifully detailed example has a carved solid wooden and painted hull sailing a wavy, putty sea.  The focs’le and poop deck have detailed life lines. The deck has three houses, the forward and center houses have a life boat on top. The masts and spars are rigged and sailing with a full set of paper sails. The bottle neck was removed in order to fit this exceptional bark which fits tight from fore to aft, top to bottom and is sealed with a turned-wood and partial cork stopper. Displayed on a custom wood stand. The bottle is marked 47 which we believe is the bottle date of 1947. Measures 10 inches long by 4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide.
