Nautical Table Lamp- THE WATER LIGHT, TRADE RES-Q-LIE, MARK, MARINE TORCH CO BALTIMORE MD

An authentic American WWII marine rescue light that we have repurposed into a nautical table lamp, here in Skipjack's lampworks.

Embossed on the front of the sealed copper canister: "THE WATER LIGHT, TRADE RES-Q-LIE, MARK, MARINE TORCH CO., PATENTEES & MNFD'S, BALTIMORE, MD."Additional embossed lettering on the light reads;"The device meets in every way the requirements if the Board of Supervising Inspectors", and graphics picture the rail on a boat/ship with life ring and Res-Q-Lite attached by rope. A nautical carbide lamp, dated "1942" on the top. The canister measures approx. 8" by 5" in size. Dark stained wood base. Stands 19 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown). CONDITION: A few dents in the canister from use. Retains a wonderful, pleasing blue-green oxidized copper patina!
